Project Workflow

Straight talk, in writing.

You deal directly with me from the first conversation to the final launch. Here is exactly how projects run, what you provide, how decisions are made, and how you retain complete control.

Transparent Process

Four clear steps. No black box.

You work directly with me from the introductory conversation to final launch. The deliverables, priorities, and costs are written down before anything starts.

1

Talk through the need

A free 20-minute introductory call to discuss your business, what you already have, and what needs attention. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so directly.

2

Agree on the scope

Pages, search priorities, timeline, and fixed price are written down before any work starts. No surprise invoices.

3

Review visible progress

You receive a private review link each week to test the pages on your phone and provide feedback as the site develops.

4

Launch & handoff

Every asset, account, domain, and code file belongs to you. We agree on the handoff and any optional ongoing support clearly.

Detailed Phasing

What happens during each project phase

1. Discovery & Introductory Conversation

We begin with a free 20-minute phone call. You describe what your business does, where you work, and what is currently not working—whether visitors aren't calling, your Google Maps profile is buried, or you are launching your first official website. If what you need isn't a good fit for my services, I will say so directly and point you in the right direction.

2. Written Scope & Fixed Pricing

Before any code is written or contracts signed, you receive a detailed written scope. It specifies exactly which pages will be built, target search topics, customer contact pathways, estimated timeline, and a fixed project price. The scope is the scope: no hidden extras or unexpected invoices.

3. Weekly Visible Progress & Feedback

You don't wait weeks in the dark wondering how your site is progressing. Every week you receive a private review link that you can open on your own phone or desktop. You can test buttons, read drafts, and give feedback while work is underway, when adjustments are simplest to make.

4. Launch, Handoff & Ownership

Once you have tested and approved the completed build, we conduct final pre-launch checks: domain connection, SSL certificate, contact form delivery testing, and search engine sitemap submission. Every asset, account, and code file is transferred to your full ownership.

What you provide as a client

A successful project relies on real facts from your business. Here is what we ask you to share:

  • Service list & priorities: The jobs you want to do more of, and the ones you prefer to avoid.
  • Actual coverage area: The towns and suburbs you genuinely travel to for work.
  • Job photos: Real snapshots of your trucks, crews, equipment, and completed work.
  • Account access: Access to your existing domain registrar or Google profile if you already have them.

The reporting loop

Every report follows the same four beats, so each one can be compared with the last:

1

Audit

Collect reliable search, website, and local-profile signals.

2

Explain

Translate each signal into plain business meaning.

3

Act

Rank fixes by impact, effort, and urgency.

4

Recheck

Compare the same indicators after the work has had time to register.

How tools support the work

I use purpose-built tools to verify code quality, track search health, and monitor uptime. Rather than presenting abstract software names, each tool answers a practical question about your business:

Search visibility & visitor insights

Shows how people find the site, which pages they use, and which contact paths earn attention—without intrusive tracking.

OpenSEO & Technical Audits

Independent crawling tools to verify clean page speed, canonical routes, meta tags, and structured schema.

Local Listings & GBP

Google Business Profile management and consistent local citations across Apple Maps, Bing, and Yelp.

Automated Uptime Checks

Continuous monitoring alerts that immediately notify me if a hosted client website ever fails to respond.
