Context & Challenge

The customer problem

The old site made promises the owner had never confirmed, and 28 of its 36 town pages repeated the same text, so they competed with each other on Google.

What changed

The new site is on a preview link while the owner finishes a last round of changes. It replaces the old site on squarehvac.com after a move to new hosting.

Practical takeaway

A site can only promise what the business can back up. Every number, badge and promise on the new SquareHVAC site comes from a written record the owner checked.

Execution Details

What I delivered

  • Every claim checked against a written record the owner approved; the rest came off
  • The 24/7 emergency line and the phone number at the top of every page
  • A quote request on the first screen
  • 12 town pages picked from search data, all within 30 miles of Hillside, in place of 36 old ones that mostly repeated each other
  • 133 old addresses forwarded to the right new page, so old links still work
